The Rhodes College Baseball team completed the two game sweep of Maryville College taking the second game 10-3.  Senior Robert Flanagan picked up his second victory of the season going 4 innings, striking out 5, no walks and allowed 1 earned run.  Flanagan is now 2-1 on the year.  Freshman Hunter Chandler threw the 5th and 6th innings for the Lynx, giving up 2 hits and striking out one.  Sophomore Max Gertz finished off the final inning of the game.  Gertz had one strike out and allowed one run. 

The Lynx offense took over the game in the top of the fourth innings when Sophomore Brandon Valentine hit a triple to the left center gap and drove in Junior Mason Mosby.  Valentine finished the game 3-4, with a triple, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.  Freshman Kyle Peterson was 4-5 with a double, 2 runs scored, and an RBI.  Freshman Brogan Jayne who hit the ball hard all day ended up 2-5 with a double and 2 runs scored.  The Lynx 7-9 hitters finished a combined 9-14 with 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored.  Junior J.R. Bizzell was 2-5 at the plate with 2 RBIs and a run scored. 

The Lynx will return to action next weekend with 2 games on Saturday, a 10:30 game home against North Park and a 6:30 game against Denison at USA Stadium in Millington, TN.  The Lynx will then take on Franklin at 2:00 on Sunday at home.
